Dr. James Jansen, DDS

Founder · Since 1981

A graduate of IU-Bloomington and the IU School of Dentistry, Dr. Jim returned home to found Jansen Family Dentistry in 1981. He gives care that respects each patient's values and needs, and keeps current through the Fort and Isaac Knapp study clubs. He has served on the Isaac Knapp district board and the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners. Outside the office he gardens, exercises, and volunteers with Rotary and the Kendallville Day Care Center.

Joined the practice in 1998

Dr. Doug joined his brother's practice in 1998 after four years in Southern Indiana. He likes getting to know each patient and gives careful, detailed treatment, sharpening his skills through the Isaac Knapp and Fort study clubs. Away from the chair he enjoys working outdoors, old British cars, and biking, and stays active with Rotary, the Noble County Community Foundation, and the Kendallville Public Library Foundation.

Dr. Janaya found her passion for dentistry shadowing her uncles in high school. She studied biology at IUPUI, earned early admission to the IU School of Dentistry, and practiced in Bloomington before returning to Kendallville to work alongside Dr. Jim and Dr. Doug. She brought soft-tissue laser therapy, tongue- and lip-tie revisions, and ClearCorrect clear aligners to the practice, and she keeps each anxious patient's comfort front of mind.
