Our Services
General, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry for the whole family, offered in one downtown Kendallville office since 1981. Here is what we do, and what each treatment actually involves.
Health-focused care
We would rather prevent problems than treat them.
Prevention and education come first here. We give you thorough exams, honest guidance, and the full range of treatment when you need it, so you can keep your teeth for a lifetime.

Cleanings & Prevention
The foundation of health-focused dentistry. Most problems start small and silent — regular exams and cleanings catch them while they're still easy to fix, and keep your smile healthy between visits.
- Dental Exams & Cleanings
At each visit we check your teeth, gums, and bite for early signs of trouble, and your hygienist removes the plaque and tartar that brushing can't reach. Most patients come twice a year.
- Dental X-Rays
Low-radiation digital images let us see between teeth and below the gumline, catching decay and bone loss long before it's visible or painful. We take them only when they'll genuinely help.
- Oral Cancer Screening
A quick, painless check of the soft tissues at every exam. Early detection is what matters most, so we make it routine.
- Sealants & Fluoride
Thin protective coatings on the chewing surfaces of back teeth, plus fluoride to strengthen enamel — simple, proven ways to prevent cavities, especially for kids.
- Home Care, Brushing & Flossing
Your daily routine matters more than anything we do in the chair. We coach you on the technique and products that fit your mouth, because good habits are what make results last.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Conservative, natural-looking work that restores the beauty of your smile and holds up for years. We match everything to the teeth you already have, so the result looks like you — only brighter.
- Porcelain Veneers
Thin, custom shells bonded to the front of your teeth to reshape, whiten, and even out your smile — a conservative fix for chips, gaps, and stubborn discoloration.
- Tooth Whitening
Professional whitening, in-office or with custom take-home trays, that lifts years of stains far beyond what store strips can reach — safely and evenly.
- Porcelain Crowns (Caps)
A crown covers and protects a damaged, cracked, or heavily filled tooth, restoring its shape and strength. Tooth-colored porcelain blends right in.
- Porcelain Fixed Bridges
A fixed replacement for one or more missing teeth, anchored to the neighboring teeth so it stays put and fills the gap naturally.
- Composite (Tooth-Colored) Fillings
Repairs cavities with a resin matched to your tooth — no dark metal, just a strong, natural-looking result.
Periodontal (Gum) Care
Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile. Gum disease is common and often painless in its early stages — the sooner we catch it, the simpler it is to treat and reverse.
- What Is Periodontal (Gum) Disease?
A bacterial infection of the gums and the bone that supports your teeth. Left untreated it's the leading cause of adult tooth loss, and it has been linked to heart disease and diabetes.
- Diagnosis
We measure the pockets around each tooth, check for bleeding and bone loss, and review your X-rays to catch gum disease at its earliest, most reversible stage.
- Treatment
From a deeper "scaling and root planing" cleaning that clears bacteria below the gumline to targeted therapy, we tailor treatment to how far the disease has progressed.
- Maintenance
Once your gums are healthy, cleanings on a schedule built for you keep the infection from coming back.
Restorations
When a tooth is damaged or missing, we rebuild it to look, feel, and work like your own — with comfortable, precisely fitted results that restore your bite and your confidence.
- Crowns (Caps)
Rebuild and protect a broken, worn, or root-canal-treated tooth with a custom cap that restores full strength and shape.
- Root Canal Therapy
When decay or injury reaches the nerve, a root canal removes the infection and saves the tooth — routinely and comfortably, so extraction isn't the only option.
- Dental Implants
A permanent replacement for a missing tooth: a titanium post that acts as a new root, topped with a natural-looking crown. The closest thing to getting your tooth back.
- Dentures & Partial Dentures
Custom full or partial dentures that restore your smile and your bite when several or all teeth are missing, fitted for comfort and a natural look.
- Fixed Bridges
A non-removable way to replace missing teeth, bridging the gap and keeping the neighboring teeth from shifting out of place.
- Tooth Extractions
When a tooth simply can't be saved, we remove it gently and walk you through the options to replace it.
Myofunctional Therapy
Dr. Janaya retrains the muscles of the mouth and tongue to improve breathing, swallowing, chewing, and long-term oral health — for children and adults alike. It treats root causes, not just symptoms.
- What Is Myofunctional Therapy?
A program of simple, guided exercises that correct how the tongue and facial muscles rest and move — addressing causes behind crowding, mouth breathing, and speech and sleep issues.
- Signs & Symptoms
Mouth breathing, tongue thrust, thumb-sucking habits, snoring, a tongue- or lip-tie, or trouble chewing and swallowing can all point to a myofunctional issue worth evaluating.
- What to Expect
We start with an evaluation, then build a personalized exercise plan you practice at home, with regular check-ins to track your progress.
- Goals With Therapy
Better breathing and sleep, proper tongue posture, easier chewing and swallowing, and support for lasting orthodontic results.
Advanced & Special Care
Newer options Dr. Janaya brought to the practice, plus straight answers and prompt help when you need it. Should a dental emergency happen, we make every effort to see you as soon as possible.
- ClearCorrect Clear Aligners
A comfortable, nearly invisible way to straighten teeth without metal braces, using a series of custom clear trays.
- Soft-Tissue Laser Therapy
Precise, gentle laser treatment for gum and soft-tissue procedures, often with less discomfort and faster healing.
- Tongue- & Lip-Tie Revisions
A quick laser procedure that releases a restrictive tongue or lip tie, helping with feeding, speech, and myofunctional health.
